Local Cinema is an independent film production company founded in Buryatia, dedicated to reclaiming silenced stories and amplifying marginalized voices. We intentionally engage with projects that challenge dominant narratives, working across genres from documentary to performative cinema.
Our approach is rooted in collaboration — with filmmakers, artists, and grassroots communities — ensuring authenticity and relevance in every story we tell. As artists and researchers ourselves,
we foster an environment that prioritizes ethics, experimentation, and responsibility, resulting in films that are both personal and politically resonant, original and transformative.
